The Coronavirus pandemic wreaked havoc and hit individuals of all ages, old and young. Through a year of isolation and uncertainty, the holiday season’s traditions are a reminder that though many things have changed, some traditions carry on, such as Christmas gift-giving. With this, GooZam, calls to our foreign kababayans for New or in Good Condition Toy Donations for Christmas Gift Giving in the Philippines, driven by the inspiration to make our children enjoy playful moments and expand their world even when physical space is limited. 

Did we forget about Christmas shows? Certainly not, but this time, we’re going virtual. Looking back pre-pandemic, the proliferation of quaint bars and pubs in Iloilo City where music lovers usually go to on holiday nights despite the horrible traffic to catch their favorite local artists’ gigs is proof of Ilonggos love for music. But since the pandemic struck last March 2020, concerts and shows had to be postponed or canceled to help curb the transmission of the coronavirus, however, with Bayanihan Around The World (BATW), artists are not only able to do what they love most but are able to lend their voice to a worthy cause. 

BATW is an initiative that aims to present Filipino talents around the world and amplify causes and campaigns in Western Visayas through a series of Facebook live performances. This Christmas season, BATW will be organized by GooZam, in partnership with local music organizations and local artists. These Organizations will be coming together with volunteer artists coming from all over  Iloilo, Capiz, Antique, Aklan, Guimaras, and Negros. Their performance will be hosted on GooZam Community’s Facebook page starting on December 1 to 14, 2021. You can expect more than just singing, but also encouraging food and toy donations for gift-giving, amplifying nomination of barangays for beneficiaries, calling for volunteers for sorting, packing, and distributing goods, and for the best part, getting to chat with the performers.
